math is mostly based on suppositions let suppose,
9=X .....(1)
X-1=10 ....(2)
subtracting (-1) from both sides we get..
X=10+1
X=11
here we get the value of X is 11
where X is also equal to 9, now by putting value of X in the above equation(2), (9=X=11)

X-1=10
11-1=10
(It's only possible if we take value of 9 equal to 11 and I proved it that 9 and 11 is equal to each other...this is called Math)
Prove it wrong if anybody can

in linear pair of equations value of variable should be satisfy both the equation.
9=X .....(1)
X-1=10 ....(2)
x is equal to 9 is not satisfying your equation number 2.
It is a witty question bro try ur wits not knowledge of maths
