There was this unpleasant situation in which the parents of the groom vehemently opposed a marriage between their son and a lady whom he chosed as his life partner on the ground that their village & that of the bride are enemies. This enmity was as old as the existence of the two villages. They don't see eye to eye.The two lovers met themselves in the city. The main traditional marriage could not hold becus the groom's parents opposed it.But surprisely,a pastor then contracted the marriage in his church without the blessings and approval of the groom's parents. When the parents heard of it, they laid a curse on both the couple and the pastor. Now my people, what do you think of this?PLS EVERYBODY'S OPINION CANNOT BE THE SAME.EVERYBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO AIR HIS OR HER VIEWS.NO FOUL LANGUAGE SHOULD BE USED.by AGMS.
Did the pastor know about this problem, that is in-between the groom & the bride?
If "YES", he didn't suposed to unite the marriage, until he heard an agreement from both groom& bride parents.
If "NO", he did the right thing & at thesame time, he did the wrong thing.
He did the right thing, by uniting the couples together as husband & wife.
While...., he also did the wrong thing, bcos: he (i.e the pastor), didn't have a complete acceptance/agreement from the parents of these couples.
Therefore: that why he did both the right & wrong thing at thesame time.
Thanks my dear. The first thing a pastor shud do b4 joining two persons 2gether in marriage is to asked from the couple to be, if all parties have fully agreed. Secondly, during the marriage, the parents & family of the groom were absent, but the groom cud have used some other persons as parents. There are certain things we treat with levity but they are vry important in law. This is the reason why in most cases people get frustrated in courts, bcus the court will points out to you certain things you ought to have done in your capacity but you ignored them thinking they are not important but which have now marred all the gud works you hav done. Ignorant of the law is no excuse.
Partners are free to choose their life partners but MUST HAVE THE BLESSINGS OF THE PARENTS. Anything outside this is totally null and void. Marrying a person without d consent and blessings of the parents is like adopting a child without the consent of the parents. Such marriage is bound to fail bcos its accursed.
As far as the parent did not agree to marry each other.the pastor did nt hv ordacity to unite the couples
the bible says honor thy parents so dt u may live long.blessing of parent is important in every marriage.
If truly d pastor is a man of God he shouldnt join them together.if they are destiny 2 marry eachother.it ll b so.
This is not true.a child without parents can be adopted in line with the law.a parent who cannot respect the decisions of his adult child will be looked at as non existent. That is why the law did not specify consent of parents as requirement for registry marriage. But upholds adulthood of the couples.
I am not talking about adopting a non parented child. Again, we are not discussing about govt registry. We are talking about man of God wedding couples whose parents did not receive their rights and consent
What d pastor did was very wrong it ill only take d grace of god to break d curse deir parent issued agaist dem
No, it is wrong for a man of God to do that, it is crude, criminal and unrealistic
THERE are rules of the church and as long as the pastor being God's representative deems it ok to do so, who will challenge God's authority if not the devil. we must not judge a man of God, there is a curse on that.
KEEP QUIET U DONT HAVE ANY TIN REASONABLE TO SAY
IT IS GUD TO HONOR UR PARENTS BUT PRAY SUCH DOESNT HAPPEN TO U COX DAT IS WEN MOST OF U DAT DO NOT OPEN UR BIBLES WIL GO AND DUST UR BIBLES AND SEARCH FOR TRUE KNOWLEDGE
The Bible says "honor your father n mother that your days may be long". If the pastor preaches the from the bible, he should know this and help practice it.
The pastor should've made peace between both families and get their approval first.
In the religious sense, it is wrong
