Candidates have to have the ability to cope with the dynamics of providing advisory and administrative support at Head Office level to entities in an organization engaged in diverse business areas spanning Port and Terminal Operations, Logistics, Property Development and Construction, Hospitality, Industrial activities, Offshore Marine Supply and Crew Boat services and other facilities and services supporting operators in the Oil and Gas industry.The Contracts Cooordinator will assist the Contracts Manager in managing the various contracts and legal aspects of projects undertaken by the Company. They will assist in the management of the review and negotiations of contracts ensure compliance with contractual conditions and deal with various day-to-day contractual matters to ensure smooth and successful contracts/project execution and operations.The Contracts Coordinator assits the Contracts Manager in:Implementation of policies and directives on legal aspects of contractDevelopment and implementation of procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policyLiaising with Department and Units on use of existing Standard ContractsProviding advice on all legal aspects of contract matters involving the CompanyVetting of contracts to ensure protection of the interest of Company vetting and review of contracts, ensuring the structure and the terminologies of all contracts are in line with the approved templatesAdvising on strategy for the handling of litigation arising from contracts affecting CompanyEnsuring safe custody of all contractual documentsMaintain contractual records and documentation, including correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports etcAdvise and follow up on close-out, extension or renewal of contractsEnsure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant departments to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation
We are looking for candidates with no less than 10 years post qualification experience, out of which the last 6 years should be in a leading organisation, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector. Candidates should have excellent knowledge of and proven track record in contract negotiation, preparation and administration, in addition to good knowledge of, and experience in advising on project and construction contracts.
