• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in loading and unloading incoming and outgoing freight at railroad stations: Determines number of workers and equipment required to load or unload freight, using information obtained from waybills, other shipping records, and personal experience.
• Examines each item of freight for size and weight to determine sequence of loading so that maximum amount of freight can be loaded into each car.
• Gives instructions to MATERIAL HANDLER to load freight into trucks.
• Records description of each item of freight and number of vehicle in which it is loaded.
• Compares items of freight loaded or unloaded with listing on waybill or other shipping records to ensure that all freight is routed to specified destination.
• Informs adjustment department of damaged freight.
• May notify railway clerical employee to affix door seal when freight Vehicle has been loaded.
• Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR Master Title.
• Monitor with calls, ensure loaded vehicles (goods) arrive the off-loading depot safely.
• Ability to proactively handle challenges.
• Efficient delivering of duties with less supervision.
• Effective managerial skills.

Procurement Manager
• Form an integral part of the Purchasing function in the achievement of Operational objectives. With a strong, solid background in purchasing and supply chain management, the candidate will take a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and procedures, making recommendations and implementing changes. The role is key to leading the Company forward in securing quality suppliers of materials and components covering price delivery and quality targets.
• Initially report into the Business Development Manager and will support the whole purchasing team to achieve targets set.
• Ensuring training and development of the team is kept at the forefront of daily activities and support all members of the purchasing and operations team.
• Have a clear project focus, supporting the purchasing function at a strategic level to help achieve objectives required to aid production of existing and new product development.
Main Responsibilities:
• Managing and controlling all the companys external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Materials and finished parts for production.
• Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for production.
• Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers (probably turnkey including design) who are aligned to the company's needs.
• Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates.
• Foster close working relationships with associated departments eg. Sales, Engineering and Production, Business Development.
• Continually improve purchasing methods and drivedown external spend.
• To carry out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology and identify and implement improvements. Production Efficiencies
• Material Costs stringent material control is required to assure company targets are met. They includes spend, usage, scrap, inventory levels etc.New Products / Product Developments
• Full involvement specifically with technical and sales departments on the evaluation of new and existing materials and their successful integration to the production end of the business. This will include identifying current and future trends in the global market place.
Other Duties:
• Any reasonable task requested by the company.

• Strong leadership skills and proven experience in staff development
• Hand on approach to all tasks
• Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results
• Versatile, tenacious and people orientated
• Result orientated and confident
• Proven appreciation of customer service expectations and cost demands of business
• Commercial and financial acumen.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree qualified or equivalent in a business administration related related discipline
• High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum)
• Proven track record of controlling and reducing external spend whilst developing a robust supplier base.
• Fully conversant with modern procurement and purchasing techniques.
• Experience of outsourcing to low cost countries would be an advantage.
