Dazee Hotels, a United Kingdom based hotel brand recently acquired the 285 Bedroom property of a popular hotel in Lagos Island, and has changed the name to Dazee Hotels, Lekki Conference & Events Centre.

This property is located in the heart of the highbrow ambience of the Chevron axis in the admired Lekki Pennisula; Guests will find our property close to the financial, social and business districts of Victoria Island & Ikoyi metropolis, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Job Description

This person will be responsible to strictly drive Room, Catering & Banquets revenue through proactive sales. This includes but not limited to:Groups, meetings, incentive trips, Team building, Social events, Company annual parties, Conventions, Exhibitions, Weddings, Engagements, Birthday parties, Family/Church gatherings, Large dinners or lunches...etc

Prepare offer letters according to guest requirements and availability, according to company standards and selling strategy.
Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
Designs, develops and sells creative catered events.

Plan, establish goals and administer outbound sales office function to deliver qualified leads and service existing accounts Develop active communication and close rapport with local authorities such as tourism board, Training consultants, travel agencies, Airlines and other sources of sales information and support.
Assess group business to maximize contribution from available sales opportunities and generate room revenues whilst achieving banqueting budgets
Develop annual sales department budget and execute the sales programs and activities within
Ensure that sales and catering PMS is well managed, maintained and updated as per company policy and standards
Supervise and monitor the compilation of accurate account information and ensure this information is kept up to date
Review and finalize corporate section of the month end sales & marketing report prior to submitting it to all concerned
Solicits and follows up on business referrals and potential sales


This person must have an extensive knowledge of LAGOS market with a remarkable client base. Must have at least 3 years experience in proactive Banquet, Catering & Room Sales. Must be fluent in English.
The ideal candidate will be a well presented, with an outgoing and friendly attitude.
With Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing Administration or related major certifications.
With at least 3 to 5 years experience in luxury hotel international chain; popular hotel brand in same position or similar role.
Plan sales call activity to optimize revenue conversion based on key selling priorities determined and agreed with the Director(s) of Sales.
Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and be a great team player, who thrives in working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing following additional competencies:
