"Dad, where had you been?" asked Colin.

"I had been to the attic, my son," replied Dad. "And do you know what I saw there? There was a big web with 21 spiders and flies on it."

"How many spiders were there?" asked the little boy with curiosity.

"Well, there were a total of 138 legs on the web," answered Dad with a smile. "Now you can find out how many spiders were there by yourself. Can't you?"

Can you help the little boy find out how many spiders were on the web in the attic?

Total 6*8+15*6=48+90=138 legs

s+f= 21
8s+6f=138
8s+6(21-s)=138
8s+126-6s=138
2s-126=138
2s=138-126
2s=12
s=6

So,
Spider = 6
Flies = 15
6*8+15*6
48+90
138 Legs
